Data management

Anduin employs two key data management concepts: Import and Export.

  • Import refers to the process of transferring external data into Anduin's system, where it's converted into order (subscription) information. This feature is primarily used to pre-populate forms with relevant data.
  • Export, on the other hand, involves extracting order (subscription) data from Anduin and transferring it to an external system. This data is typically formatted as CSV or JSON files and is used to retrieve information after an investor has completed their subscription.

Typically, Anduin collaborates closely with its customers to understand their specific import and/or export requirements, including which data points they wish to pre-fill or extract. These identified data points are then compiled into what we call a Template. Depending on its purpose, it's referred to as either an Import Template or an Export Template.

  • With an Import Template, it enables data from external systems to be digested by Anduin for subscription prefill.
  • With an Export Template, it formats data from Anduin into a standardized form easily digested by external systems.

Why it matters?

Possibly, integrations can require automated data flow between systems, which relies on Templates for successful execution. Please contact your Anduin support representative to set up these Templates.

We now offer customers the ability to self-create and manage Templates within Fund Subscription, but only for the Export route. For more details, refer to this guide.
