Integration credential

Why Integration Credentials Matter

1. Multiple Products, Multiple Access Points

The Anduin platform offers diverse products with distinct access structures:

  • FundSub: Users may have access to different fund instances, depending on their permissions.
  • IDM (Investor Data Management): Typically, users access only one firm instance, reflecting a single point of interaction.
  • DataRoom: Users can engage with multiple rooms, each tailored to specific deals or projects.

This variability in access across Anduin products requires a secure, consistent method to manage integrations.

2. Wide Range of Third-Party Apps

On the other side, users often want to connect with a variety of third-party applications (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, SFTP). Each application may have unique credentialing requirements, but it’s the user's responsibility to obtain and manage access to this information.

3. Connecting Anduin Objects with External Apps

For the integration flow to function, users must link Anduin objects (funds, firms, rooms) with their selected third-party applications. This is where the Anduin Integration Credential plays a crucial role. The credential serves as the communicator, indicating to the Anduin system which objects the user intends to connect with external applications.

Key Features of the Anduin Integration Credential

  • 1:1 Credential-User relationship: Currently, the system supports a single credential per user for integrations. This means that once a credential is established, it will automatically be applied for subsequent integration instances. This approach simplifies setup and management.
  • Flexible object management: Although the system enforces a 1:1 credential relationship, users have flexibility. They can add or remove Anduin objects (e.g., funds, rooms) from the active credential to adjust integrations as needed. This ensures that while credentials are centrally managed, they remain adaptable to user preferences and evolving business needs.

In essence, the Anduin Integration Credential is a critical piece of the Integration Hub, enabling smooth, secure, and customizable connections across the Anduin ecosystem and beyond.
