Returns the name, size, creation time and creator of a file from an order or fund you have access to. Use it when you have a file ID but no file name, for example a file from a webhook or from a document that is not yet visible through GraphQL (a subscription document pending review, or a supporting document that has not been submitted).
The fileId can be obtained from:
- The
fileIdsof thefundsub.order.document.uploadedwebhook and other document webhooks - The GetOrdersSubscriptionDocs and GetOrderSupportingDoc REST API endpoints
- The getOrder GraphQL query
This endpoint returns file metadata only. Take the document type, order and status from wherever you got the file ID.
creator is the account that created the file, which is not always the person who acted in the app. A file uploaded through the API names the service account. A file the platform generates or copies, such as the PDF produced when an investor submits the subscription form, names the platform account.
A file that does not exist, was deleted, or belongs to a fund or order the service account cannot access returns 404 File not found or not accessible. Only files in a fund or order folder are supported; other file IDs also return 404. To look up several files at once, use GetFilesInfo.
